Travelling with Rascal our Border Collie

Rascal with his new travel coat as it was very cold at Goomeri in Queensland, we later travelled down to Texas for a night before reaching Bingara New South Wales.
This photo was taken on the banks of the Gwyder River downstream from Copeton Dam.

We are currently travelling with 2 other couples at present and a 4th van arriving later today, evidence of how high the water has been is all around, debris is in the trees behind the vans.
Rascal has become very tolerant of other people since he has gone deaf, it is like he has developed a completely new personality, it is either that or he has taken to the new lifestyle very well having us both around him constantly.
Rascal is currently travelling around Australia, part of the planning exercise and has visited iconic destinations like Birdsville,  Mary Kathleen and is currently resting at Karumba.
My new purpose built seating, covers the whole back seat and I can lay down and look out the windows or windscreen without having to get up, how good is this.
It was pretty cold outside and I had such a big day I was allowed to sleep inside.
Thought I would have a paddle in the Ward River while I was in Charleville.
Going for a walk near the Birdsville turn off.
Walking around Birdsville.
just doing my bit at Cocory Ruins.
Resting at Mary Kathleen, I liked it here as I didn't need my lead.
So this is why you tell me I can't swim up here.
Resting on the beach at Karumba.

Checking out the damage to the Gregory River crossing.

  1. Finally sitting down and having a good look at the photos from your recent trip. Great to see Rascal in his Goomeri coat looking warm and toasty and to read that he is settling down with "outsiders" is fantastic. He is going to love the caravanning lifestyle for sure and we can't wait to see him over in WA!

    All the best
